Perch was founded by Alex Leduc. Prior to starting Perch, Alex worked in various strategy, corporate finance and analytics roles at regulated Canadian financial institutions.
He is currently a Technical Advisory Committee Member of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) and Co-Chair of the Canadian Lenders Association Mortgage Roundtable. Alex is a graduate of Ivey Business School from Western University and a CFA Charterholder.
After seven years of working in financial services, Alex was shocked at the disconnect he was seeing. He saw how clients were getting advice from the wrong "experts," which was compounded by the fact that not everyone had access to or the ability to correctly interpret financial information. Alex started Perch with the goal of helping Canadians make better real estate decisions by leveraging analytics, while being supported by the right industry professionals.
